Mike Kenneally is a figurative painter based in the west of Ireland, working primarily in oils on wood panels. After leaving school he studied at the National College of Art & Design (NCAD), Dublin. He paints directly onto the panel, allowing edits to remain visible so each image carries its own history. A disciplined drawing practice underpins the work: fast 1-, 3- and 5-minute sketches sharpen observation and structure the studio day. His subjects span portrait, the figure and landscape.
